Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm (with weekend rotation)

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Promotes a safe environment by identifying and reporting potential safety hazards and taking appropriate action in emergency situations.

• Participates in education and discharge planning using established education materials.

• Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department, participating in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities.

• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, and performs handwashing according to policy.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures.

The experience and expertise you'll need to succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Graduate of an LPN program from a Technical/Vocational school

• Current State of Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.

• Articulates comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and specialty nursing theory and practice for all age groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic EKG certification

• IV Certified

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
