What you will do:

• Provide nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls.
• Assists the care plan team as directed by the Director of Nursing (DON), with the preparation, implementation, and review and updating of resident assessments and care plans.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds periodically throughout shift to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Schedules and assigns residents to all nursing attendants during your shift and on your units; giving each attendant specific directive as to the duties to be performed
• Follow- up on their work assignments to assure proper completion

What is good to have:

• Valid nurse license in the state of South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
• CPR Certified 
• Long-term care and electronic medical records experience preferred 
• Intermediate computer skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
