We’re currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our amazing team.

Details of the Opening:

• Anticipated start date: ASAP
• Salary range: $23.00/hour
• Anticipated duration of this contract assignment: 6 month contract
• Anticipated schedule: 3-4 days per week, 7am-7:30pm

Daily Range of Responsibilities:

• Provides evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process, principles, practices and techniques of general nursing care as determined by Standards of Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Screens for sick call, administers medications, and provides first aid and basic life support to patients and employees as needed
• Maintains open lines of communication with security and treatment staff while providing input and feedback to assist the facility provider in organizing a treatment plan
• Records all pertinent information into the medical record
• Interfaces with other departments as needed
• Promotes continued competence through education/certification with a focus on correctional nursing
• Nurses must have the ability to work hours, days and locations as assigned along with being capable and available to provide coverage as needed to meet institutional needs

What You’ll Need to Qualify for this Role:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia LPN license issued by the board of nursing or a multi-state compact license (if you are a recent graduate of a nursing program in VA and not licensed, the NCLEX-PN exam must be scheduled at the time of application)
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or client (ARC) is required upon hire
