Position Overview

We are currently hiring a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) for a full-time contract position in Stockton, CA. This opportunity offers consistent hours, excellent compensation, and the chance to transition into a permanent role with state-level benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-call crisis support and emergency mental health consultations during workdays
• Conduct detailed psychological evaluations, including review of criminal and substance abuse histories
• Assess and document suicide risk with clinical accuracy
• Deliver psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and one-on-one evaluationseven in high-pressure or challenging environments
• Collaborate with medical and support staff to ensure comprehensive mental health diagnosis and care
• Draft clinical reports, treatment plans, and offer consults on complex psychiatric cases
• Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining high ethical standards and fulfilling reporting obligations
• Actively participate in care team discussions and case planning

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 12 months of recent LPCC experience within the past 3 years providing direct patient care
• Education: Masters Degree in Counseling or a related field
• License: Active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Documents: Valid Drivers License or Passport
