Licensed Psychiatric Technician - San Luis Obispo, CA

Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician
Location: Correctional Facility in San Luis Obispo, California
Pay Rate: $52.75 to $54.75 per hour
Schedule: Friday to Tuesday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Contract Length: 6 to 9 months, full-time. Eligible for extension.

Requirements:

• Minimum of twelve continuous months of experience within the last three years providing direct patient care in a public or private institution
• Current clinical competencies
• Valid photo ID (Drivers License or Passport)
• Current and valid Licensed Psychiatric Technician license issued by the California State Board
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for clients
• Collaborate with service coordinators to develop individualized service plans
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Notify physicians promptly of incidents, changes in condition, or treatment adjustments
• Maintain clear communication with staff and assist with job duties as needed
• Serve as a liaison among physicians, clients, and the interdisciplinary team
• Complete all incident, medication error, and drug reaction reports in a timely manner
