Job Description - Licensed Psychiatrist

JOB AD: Psychiatrist
Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Psychiatrist to partner with us in providing quality medical care to patients within a transitional Corrections setting. Psychiatrists, alongside fellow team members, will be fully entrusted to ensure that the utmost competent care and safety is consistently delivered with compassion to the patient population.
The medical teams will be located within a secure medical facility, where such services include, but are not limited to the following:

Medical Screening (New Arrivals)
Comprehensive Screening
Sick Call
24-Hour Emergency Medical and Mental Health Treatment
Women’s Medical Care

Aspen Medical will provide additional EMS, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
Citizenship:
*All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders. Sponsorship will not be available.
Requirements:
Education:

Degree Requirement, MD or DO
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in psychiatry
Successful completion of an internship in psychology

Experience:  

Minimum of at least two years of professional experience working in an outpatient mental health clinic to include group counseling, individual talk therapy, drug abuse and suicide/homicide intervention.

License:

Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychiatrist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands

Certification:

BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
