Autism Diagnostic Evaluations – Durham, NC
Full -Time or Part -Time | $350 per Completed Assessment
(Approx. $100–$150/hour depending on efficiency)

Autism Center of Excellence is seeking a Licensed Psychologist (LP) or Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) to complete autism diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents in our Durham, NC clinic. This role offers flexible scheduling, reliable referrals, and strong clinical support—allowing you to focus on high -quality assessment and meaningful family guidance.

⭐ Position Summary

  • Location: Durham, NC
  • Schedule: Weekday daytime availability
  • Employment Type: Full -time or part -time
  • Compensation: $350 per completed diagnostic assessment
  • Additional info: Approx. equivalent of $100–$150/hr depending on caseload and efficiency

You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, provide clear diagnostic feedback, and help families identify the next steps in care.

⭐ What You’ll Do

  • Conduct autism and developmental evaluations using standardized assessment tools
  • Provide clear, compassionate diagnostic feedback to families
  • Complete written diagnostic reports within seven (7) days
  • Serve as a Licensed Qualified Autism Service Provider (LQASP) for Medicaid requirements
  • Collaborate with ABA clinicians when treatment recommendations are appropriate
  • Maintain HIPAA -compliant, timely, accurate documentation

⭐ Qualifications

Required

  • Active North Carolina license as an LP or LPA
  • Master’s degree (LPA) or doctoral degree (LP) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
  • Experience conducting autism and developmental evaluations
  • Strong diagnostic reasoning and professional writing skills
  • Ability to communicate sensitive results clearly and empathetically

Preferred

  • Pediatric clinic -based evaluation experience
  • Familiarity with Medicaid documentation
  • Experience with tools such as:
  • ADOS -2
  • CARS -2
  • Vineland -3
  • ADI -R
  • SRS -2

Requirements

Education & Licensure Requirements:


  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in Psychology and active North Carolina Licensed Psychologist (LP) license
    OR


  • Master’s degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology) and active North Carolina Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) license (supervision required per NC Psychology Board guidelines)

  • Training in autism diagnostic assessment preferred (e.g., ADOS -2, ADI -R, CARS)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active North Carolina LP or LPA license in good standing

  • Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized autism assessments (e.g., ADOS -2, ADI -R, CARS, DISCO)

  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic formulation skills

  • Excellent written communication and report -writing ability

  • Ability to provide compassionate, family -centered feedback

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional standards (HIPAA compliance)

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinic environment
