Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support our dedicated care team. As an LVN at MCHC, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare to our community by providing nursing support, coordinating care, and promoting a positive patient experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Support providers and care teams in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Prepare and participate in daily team huddles and trainings
• Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice.
• Accurately document patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Educate patients as directed by the provider
• Refill routine medication according to established protocol and under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
• Perform therapeutic blood withdrawal and IV therapy if certified
• Maintain infection control practices and OSHA standards
• Travel to other MCHC sites as needed
• Participate in quality improvement efforts to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements

Required:

• Active California LVN license
• Completion of an approved IV therapy course
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a clinical setting

Preferred:

• Previous outpatient clinical experience
