PRIME Occupational Medicine’s Mission:
PRIME’s mission is to provide employers worldwide with the best tools to optimize the efficiency necessary to maximize improvement in each worker’s health and safety.
Objectives of this role: Perform a variety of clinical and or on-site procedures in treating clients in the event they are injured on the job. Perform a variety of administrative duties.
Responsibilities:
Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients in a PRIME clinic or in an on-site setting.
Administers treatment of work-related injuries and evaluates and documents its effectiveness.
Performs client services related to PRIME’s, Occupational Health and safety policies and protocols.
Will ensure procedures are followed and are in compliance.
Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit at a PRIME clinic or at an on-site if needed.
Prepares clients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG’s, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary.
Perform phlebotomy service and give injections and vaccinations.
Perform injury care and work with providers to ensure correct care and procedures.
Perform wound care.
Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records within PRIME’s and or the client’s electronic system.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calibration checks
Collaboration with Clinic Supervisor and Prime Providers to ensure clinic is running smoothly and effectively.
Improves job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Protects the practice by adhering to professional standards. Updating and filing medical records according to facilities policies/procedures, in accordance with all HIPPA, OSHA, state, federal/guidelines/regulations/laws.
Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership of all performed duties while providing value to the organization.
May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays
Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekend
Must have dependable transportation
May be required to travel to other PRIME and or on-site locations.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Valid LVN license in appropriate state
3 - 5 years of experience in a clinical setting
1 - 2 years of experience in Occupational Medicine is preferred
Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers, copy machines and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting or at an on-site location and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, climb stairs, and drive a vehicle to other clinics, on-site locations, deliver and pick up materials.
Mental Requirements: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with employees and visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
