Job Description - Life Engagement Assistant

Are you an outgoing person with experience in a senior living community? Are you a social media rockstar? Come join the Quail Park of Lynnwood team as a Life Engagement Assistant! Our Life Engagement team plans a variety of events and activities to keep our residents stimulated and engaged. As a member of this team, you would plan, assist with, and coordinate these social events and activities. You will also assist the care team with monitoring and supporting residents by keeping up to date on social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies.

Additionally, this position manages our social media accounts with the aim of growing our online presence and increase visibility in the community and greater Seattle area.

Position is full-time, Sunday-Thursday.

What You'll Do:
Activity Assistant, Life Engagement Assistant, CNA, HCA, Social Media

Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities
Assist, plan, coordinate and participate in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities to ensure resident social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met
Act as a role model to community team members for communication and behavior management strategies and engage residents in meaningful activity and social interaction
Ensure all resident activities, outings and events occur according to schedule
Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling an adequate number of volunteers to support the community activity program
Support the team ensuring all resident care and activity is provided in a safe and effective manner while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice and respect.
Create social media content/posts in accordance with our branding with the aim of increasing visibility in the community and greater Seattle area.
Manage and grow accounts on Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Engage with followers and respond to comments/messages as appropriate
Collaborate with marketing and sales team to align on messaging, promotions, and activities

What We're Looking For:
Activity Assistant, Life Engagement Assistant, CNA, HCA, Social Media

At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
CNA/HCA preferred
Previous experience utilizing social media in a business setting highly preferred
Strong skills in content creation, creativity and attention to detail
Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within specified timeframe
Must be ablet to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler’s credentials
Proficiency in basis computer skills including MS Word and Excel
