Position Summary:


Full Time


Shift: 8:30am - 4:00pm (Monday – Friday)


Compensation: $14.50-$16.00 per hour - Based on experience 


 


The Life Enrichment Floating Assistant supports the Life Enrichment Department across both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. This flexible, hands-on role provides essential assistance with activity execution, resident engagement, and departmental administrative tasks. Responsibilities vary based on community needs, staffing levels, and the time of the month.


 


Job Duties:



  • Assist activity staff in both AL and SNF with daily programming, events, parties, and special celebrations.

  • Lead or independently run activities when Life Enrichment team members are off or unavailable.

  • Provide one-on-one engagement with residents as needed, including room visits, small group activities, and supportive conversation.

  • Help transport residents to and from programs, ensuring safety and dignity.

  • Print monthly activity calendars at the end of each month and deliver them to resident rooms.

  • Assist with the creation, editing, and distribution of calendars, newsletters, sign-up sheets, and other departmental documents.

  • Organize, gather, and restock materials for upcoming activities, ensuring supplies are readily available.

  • Support end-of-month and beginning-of-month tasks such as documentation, attendance recording, and supply inventory.

  • Provide extra hands for large events, holiday parties, family engagements, and community-wide celebrations.

  • Assist with set-up and tear-down, decorations, refreshments, and resident support throughout the event.

  • Maintain positive, professional communication with Life Enrichment team members, nursing staff, and other departments.

  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director and team to ensure continuity of programming.

  • Observe and report resident changes, concerns, or unmet needs to appropriate staff.

  • Other responsibilities may arise based on the needs of the residents and the department.


 


Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:   Strong time management, organizational, collaborative, creative, and communication skills. Creativity, enthusiasm, and positive approach.


Minimum Experience: Experience in life enrichment, therapeutic recreation, education, administrative assistance, or a related field.
