Life Enrichment Assistant, Full Time

Park Place St. John Senior Living is seeking a full time Life Enrichment Assistant.  This self-motivated candidate will assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs in accordance with Providence Life Services policies and as may be directed by the Life Enrichment Director or Executive Director. Position will work every other Saturday and occasional holidays. The hours for this position are 8:00AM-4:30PM.

Summary of essential job functions:

• Assist in planning and running activity programs.
• Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activity programs.
• Create a positive atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and fun.
• Befriend residents to encourage resident self-esteem.
• Promote an environment of safety.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and the ability to incorporate these every day into all you do with the residents.

• Seeking candidates who have a minimum of 2-3 years previous experience as a Life Enrichment Aide (Activity Aide) in a retirement and or assisted living setting.    
• Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and successfully complete a reference check.
