Pineapple House of Sapphire Lakes, a premier community located in the heart of Naples, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Activities Director. This position is essential for enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging recreational therapy programs. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to providing superior care and enriching experiences for our senior community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that promotes physical, mental, and social well-being for residents.

- Collaborate with staff and residents to assess interests and needs, ensuring activities are tailored to enhance engagement.

- Organize and lead recreational therapy sessions, including arts and crafts, games, fitness classes, and outings.

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and social interaction.

- Maintain accurate records of participation and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.

- Coordinate with families and caregivers to ensure alignment with residents' preferences and needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Gerontology, or a related field preferred but not required.

- Experience working with seniors in a recreational or therapeutic setting.

- Strong organizational and leadership skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for residents.

- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and best practices in recreational therapy.
