Lifeguard

The City of Lawrenceburg is currently accepting applications for seasonal Lifeguards at the Pat O'Neill Memorial Pool.  Applicants must have, or be able to obtain by May 31st, a valid Lifeguard Certification and must be at least 16 years old by May 19, 2025. The season for the Pat O'Neill Memorial Pool runs from early May through September. 

The City will reimburse the cost of Lifeguard training for any Lifeguard hired and remains actively employed as a Lifeguard with the City of Lawrenceburg for the 2025 season.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Prolonged periods of sitting in guard chair as well as standing while remaining alert and aware of activities in and around the pool. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Talk, hear, and speak, walking, stooping, crouching. Must occasionally  lift and/or move up to 40 pounds unassisted.

 Training listed below is independent from the City of Lawrenceburg and is for informational purposes. Applicants are responsible for contacting, scheduling, and paying any applicable fees for the training received. Lawrenceburg High School

Course #2 Lifeguard - New Certification

Cost: $300

Registration Deadline: Friday, March 28, 2025

Dates: (online course must be completed before the first date listed below)

            Monday, March 31 4:30 pm-9:00 pm

            Wednesday, April 2 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm

            Friday, April 4 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm

            Saturday April 5 7:00 am-3:00 pm

Once your registration is received you will be notified with additional information and links to take online course prior to the first day of class.

Lawrenceburg High School

Course #3 Lifeguard - New Certification
