Knollwood Country Club, located in West Bloomfield, MI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Lifeguard! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Pay Rate:
$17 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and observe swimmers at all times to ensure their safety
Administer first aid to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises
Maintain amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms and showers
Assist in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager
Enforce the rules of conduct
Perform pool maintenance including checking chemicals and vacuuming the pool
Check first aid supplies and report needed items to management in a timely manner
Organize and monitor pool games at all times; suggest pool-side games
Skim bugs and debris from the surface and empty the automatic skimmer to prepare the pool for daily use
Clean up and organize pool area at the end of the day
Maintain all necessary records as determined by the department manager
Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience
CPR, First Aid Certification, and various Water Safety/Instructor Certifications required
Other Qualifications:
Regular and reliable attendance
Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes
