Company Description

  • One of the largest water and theme park resorts, located in Wisconsin Dells, with over 1,600 rooms available, including options like Hotel Rome, resort rooms, cabins, and tents, where all overnight guests play for free. The park has expanded to feature indoor and outsdoor waterslides, including America’s tallest waterslide and rotating slide, thrilling rollercoasters, wave pools, endless lazy rivers, kiddie attractions, and so much more!

Job Description

We are looking to recruit observant Lifeguards to ensure the safety of visitors to our Indoor & Outdoor Aquatic Facilities. The Lifeguard will explain safety rules to patrons, warn them about unsafe situations, and enforce policies established by Mt. Olympus Resorts & Parks. You will play an instrumental role in maintaining orderliness by inspecting swimming pool areas, locker rooms and restrooms. You will maintain pool equipment, and monitor our guests Safety.

 

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities. 

  • Overseeing activities at aquatic facilities. 
  • Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations and policies to ensure safety of patrons. 
  • Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger, responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning. 
  • Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations. 
  • Maintaining order in swimming areas. 
  • Performing first aid procedures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or using an automated defibrillator (AED) in an emergency and, if trained, administering oxygen when needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all areas. 
  • Maintaining records and reports. 

 

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 10

JOB TYPE: Full Time or Seasonal (must be available at least 9/5/2025 through 12/15/2025)

WAGE PER HOUR $17hr

HOURS PER WEEK: 40+

OVER TIME: Paid @ base wage per hour due to FLSA Seasonal Amusement Exemption

EXPECTED OVER TIME: Unknown at this time

WORKWEEK: Sunday- Saturday

WEEKENDS: Yes, must be willing, and available, to work all shifts, Weekends, Holidays. Paid at the same rate of $17/hr.

PAYMENT DAYS: Every other Friday

PAYMENT TYPE: Check or Direct Deposit

BREAK TIMES: Every 4 Hours

JOB START DATE: 09/05/2025

JOB END DATE: FT or at least 12/15/2025

Qualifications

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: No

DRUG TEST: No

ENGLISH LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: Medium - advanced

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: at least B2-C1 level, with the ability to read and answer test questions in English. Conversational required while on the job. English Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.

MUST ATTEND JOB TRAINING?: Yes

  • First Aid and CPR certification will be provided. 
  • American Red Cross Certification Requirements: Shallow Water Lifeguarding (5’) Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs, floating, or both. Participants must tread water only, not float, when the water depth of training is greater than 5 feet. Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breakstroke, or a combination of both Timed Event - Complete within 50 seconds Starting in the water, swim 20 yards (swim goggles not allowed) Submerge to a depth of 5 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object Return to the surface and walk or swim 20 yards to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands Exit the water without using a ladder or steps Completion of the following other activities Attend the entire course and participate in class sessions Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles during skill practice, skill drills, activities, and scenarios Demonstrate proficiency in all skills taught in the course, including conducting surveillance, performing water rescues, responding to emergencies and providing resuscitation and first aid care. Pass a final written exam with a minimum grade of 80 percent Pass three final skill assessments.

FLIGHT/TRANSPORTATION

  • PAID FLIGHT TO BUSINESS LOCATION?: Employer will pay for transportation
  • AIRPORT OF ARRIVAL: MSN
  • PAID FLIGHT HOME?: No flight is paid back home at the end of the 3 month period? This is kind of a standard practice in the industry. Makes them feel sure that they will have a way to go back home at the end of their contract of at least 3 months.
  • TRAVEL FOOD EXPENSE COVERED?: $30 per travel day from place of recruitment, reimbursed on pay check.

 

WORKPLACE TRANSPORTATION

  • TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORKSITE: No transportation is provided to and from work. Housing to work site is a short commute. Bikes, electrical scooters, or walking are recommeded. 5 minute bike or scooter ride, 10 minute walk.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS?: Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Thanksgiving and Easter are paid at 1.5x base rate for shifts that are worked by the employee
  • JOB PROMOTION POSSIBILITY?:
  • Potentially for candidates who work until May of 2026

  • HOUSING TYPE: Shared Room dorm style, 2 people per room. Bathroom and refridgerator in room. Common area kitchen and laundry. All housing costs are covered by the employer. Wifi is basic.

  • RENT PER PERSON?: Free
  • HOW LONG IS HOUSING PROVIDED? Generally 6 months per city ordinance if they decide to stay more than 6 months, will they have to get own housing or can they stay in your housing under same or different conditions?
