Lifeguard - Per Diem

Seasonal position - May through Sept - Outdoor pool     Schedule: Days, Evenings, Weekends - Various shifts between 10:00 am - 8:00 pm. Per Diem position

Primary Duties & Essential Functions:

• Monitor, maintain, and utilize sound working knowledge of all program standards (OCFS, COA, CSE, and HIPAA).


• Examine injured persons and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment.


• Contact emergency medical personnel and agency administration in case of a serious injury.


• Instruct and provide all swimming participants with safety precaution information.


• Patrol and monitor the swimming pool area to ensure compliance and safety measures are upheld.


• Maintain the quality of the pool water by testing chemical levels.


• Complete and maintain records of water and pool area conditions, emergency medical treatments performed, and other relevant incident information.


• Warn swimmers of inclement weather, unsafe areas, and illegal conduct.


• Inspect recreational equipment for the pool area to ensure safety.


• As these duties and responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive, other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as business needs require.

Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED.


• Must be First Aid/CPR/AED Certified.


• Must be Certified Lifeguard.


• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.


• An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Pay: $25.00 Per Hour
