Lifeguard (Seasonal)

Lifeguard (Seasonal Temporary)- Blake McNeil Campground

Duties and Requirements:

Under supervision, this role consists of Lifeguarding at a small campground beachfront. This role is seasonal beginning May 18, 2026 and running for 17 weeks. 

Job duties include:

• The Supervision of swimmers to ensure that they are swimming within safety protocols;


• Spotting hazards or potential hazards and taking corrective action to prevent accidents;


• Performing rescue in the event of swimming accidents;


• Performing first aid and CPR in adverse situations.

Other duties may also include being responsible for cleanliness of restroom facilities, issuing camping permits, and monitoring the entrance/exit of the campground.

All lifeguards must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid NYS driver’s license, and possess valid NYS certification for Lifeguarding, Waterfront Skills/First Aid/CPR/AED.
