Lift Operator Job Description

Position Overview

The lift operator will be responsible for operating lift equipment to efficiently load and unload trailers, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load/unload trailers
• Stage products in designated areas according to company procedures
• Conduct accurate inventory counts and maintain inventory records
• Perform regular warehouse cleaning duties to ensure a safe working environment
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures when operating equipment

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures
• Full-time position with potential for overtime during peak periods
• May require working evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

Previous experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment preferred

Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Basic math and computer skills for inventory management

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods

Reliable with excellent attendance record

High school diploma or equivalent
