Job Description - Lift Technician

Description

Sullivan Tire, an Employee-Owned company, has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician within our LiftWorks team. The Field Service Technician installs and maintain lifts and other shop equipment while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction. This position includes travel to sites all over New England with occasional overnight stays required.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly install and service lifts and other shop equipment by following best practice standards and procedures.
  • Perform periodic qualified lift inspections and prepare estimates for repairs.
  • Operate equipment under supervision, including, but not limited to, an excavator and skid steer.
  • Manage job sites not requiring the use of heavy equipment. May direct the work of other Lift Technicians depending on the job site.
  • Complete job-related administrative tasks such as customer billing and company purchases of equipment.
  • Responsible for identifying additional opportunities for services by providing information on the features, benefits, and pricing of lift inspections.
  • Maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Assume other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education/Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Work on ladders and lifts that can be up to 25 ft. high. 
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Must meet DOT compliance requirements. 
  • Ability to drive vehicles over 10,000 GVW.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Customer service focus 
  • Proficient in power tools, jackhammers, pipe threaders, and concrete saw operation
  • Basic understanding of the automotive tire and auto service industry
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Strong Mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.
  • Hydraulic license and Lift Inspector Certification training will be provided.
