Light Assembly - Final Inspector - 1st Shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspection, audits,  and material testing across manufacturing processes


• Perform testing in an engineering lab


• Initiate the investigation of non-conformance issues


• Input transactions in the ERP system


• Verify non-conformance and complete all necessary measurements and specifications using inspection devices such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and other quality tools as required.


• Assist with training new operators on correct product terminology and measuring tools and techniques


• Assist and mentor operators in quality standards


• Participate in continuous improvement projects and ideas to enhance processes


• Complete rework as needed


• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Proficient knowledge of measuring equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and comparators preferred


• Able to perform and prioritize many tasks with a sense of urgency


• Proficient computer, math, and reading skills


• Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time for up to 8-10 hours per day


• Must be able to work with small parts for extended periods of time


• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
