Light Assembly - Receiving Inspector - 1st Shift

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct specialized inspection and material testing across manufacturing processes and receiving using inspection devices such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and other quality tools as required.


• Conduct performance testing across manufacturing and engineering processes


• Updates ERP System with quality information


• Initiate and aide in the investigation of non-conformance issues


• Verify non-conformance and perform all necessary measurements  


• Assist with training new operators on correct product terminology, measuring tools, and techniques


• Mentor operators in exceptional quality and the importance of producing quality parts


• Complete validations as needed


• Participate in continuous improvement projects and ideas to enhance processes


• Complete rework as assigned


• Back up Quality Analysis - Operations role


• Read and understand product specifications


• Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Proficient knowledge of measuring equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and comparators preferred


• Able to perform and prioritize many tasks with a sense of urgency


• Proficient computer, math, and reading skills


• Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time for up to 8-10 hours per day


• Must be able to work with small parts for extended periods of time


• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
