Job Description - LIHTC Liaison

Job Description

- Float throughout the LLC1 developments within 4 of the NYC boroughs to complete LIHTC tasks.
- Create and Maintain LIHTC tenant folders: Retrieve and review documents from Siebel and save to electronic LIHTC folder. The reviews include ensuring rent calculation accuracy, compliance with student status rule, sufficient supporting documents and rent charges not exceeding LIHTC maximum rent. Communicate any compliance concerns to Development Property Managers.
- Update database for each LIHTC tenant folder using Excel and/or APEX reporting system.
- Assist development staff with LIHTC related issues, concerns, and questions regarding certification of units and ongoing compliance.
- Assist with audits by our partners, HDC and Wells Fargo, by pulling and preparing LIHTC folders for the auditor’s review.
- Attend all new move viewings and/or review all documents to ensure income/student and documentation requirements have been met and ensure LIHTC unit folder is updated with the new household.
- Conduct file reviews of completed annuals and provide findings for development follow up.
- Contact Section 8 tenants that have not completed their annual property management recertifications in order to obtain required LIHTC forms.

HOUSING ASSISTANT (HA) - 80201

Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or

An associate degree or sixty semester credits from an accredited college and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in housing management at a development or developments containing at least 150 apartments, performing any one or a combination of the following duties: interviewing applicants; determining eligibility; gathering and evaluating information to resolve complaints; collecting rents; and/or resolving tenant-related problems; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in “1” above; or

A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience as described in "1" or "2" above. Undergraduate college credit may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for one year of satisfactory full-time experience. However, all candidates must have a four-year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent.
