Description

The Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within the scope of the LME license, while adhering to Oregon state regulations and company safety standards.

Additional Information

Schedule: 1st Shift,  Monday - Friday, 6am-2:15pm

This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans. 

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.



Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and security protocols; avoid equipment hazards per operating instructions
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and report hazards or concerns to the supervisor
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to 5S standards
• Understand industrial electrical systems and comply with the National Electrical Code
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify programmable logic controllers (PLCs) independently
• Read and interpret ladder logic diagrams; correctly use multi-meter functions
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair 480V, 240V, and 120V AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power wiring
• Perform major installations, general maintenance, and preventive repairs on machines and equipment
• Install conduit for electrical wire relocations and apply proper grounding and bonding techniques
• Learn and operate new equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with vendors to identify parts and resolve machinery issues
• Work effectively with production, maintenance teams, and independently when required
• Assist maintenance team members with timely and accurate repairs and adjustments
• Participate in incident and ARC investigations as needed
• Use eAM or equivalent CMMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Word for maintenance documentation
• Be available for overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have experience as a Current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician (PJ) or other applicable electrical license in the state of Oregon
  • Must at least three (3) years experience repairing automation equipment
  • Must at least five (5) years experience in manufacturing Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have electrician vocational school training
  • Have experience with interpret PLC ladder logic in RSLogix 500 and Studio 5000 to troubleshoot plant equipment including sensors, VFDs, motors, pressure gauges, pumps, and pneumatic valves
