Job Summary
Line Cook Job Description / Anchor Bar Restaurant 
 
 

Reports to:        General Manager & Assistant Managers
 

Responsibilities:         
 
·         Prepares a variety of wings, pizzas, sandwiches, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in fryers, broilers, ovens, grills, stovetop, and a variety of other kitchen equipment
 


·         Communicates with all other kitchen team members to ensure that fresh hot menu items are being prepared in a timely manner.


·         Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.


·         Knows and complies consistently with Anchor Bar's standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.


·         Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period.


·         Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, ovens, stovetops, range and refrigeration equipment, slicers, mixers, etc.


·         Properly preps ingredients according to the Prep Appendix for use in preparing menu items.


·         Properly prepares menu items in accordance with the Recipes Appendix.


·         Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.


·         Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.


·         Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.


·         Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.


·         Attends all scheduled team member meetings and bring suggestions for improvement. 


·         Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty.
