East Nashville | Full-Time 


Fancypants is hiring a thoughtful and capable line cook to join our kitchen team. We’re a neighborhood restaurant in East Nashville known for bold, seasonal, vegetable-forward food served with intention and integrity. If you’re serious about cooking, care about the details, and want to work in a fast-paced, respectful kitchen that values creativity and consistency, we’d love to meet you.  



ABOUT US 
At Fancypants, vegetables are the stars of the show. Our menus are shaped by what’s fresh, local, and full of potential. We cook from scratch, source thoughtfully, and build dishes that are both vibrant and grounded. 


We run a clean, efficient kitchen with a strong sense of pride. Everyone here contributes to a culture of high standards, honest feedback, and mutual support.  



WHAT YOU’LL DO 



  • Run your station with accuracy and consistency

  • Execute service with a sense of urgency and care

  • Complete prep tasks with discipline and attention to detail

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully in a collaborative environment

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace from open to close


WHO YOU ARE
 

  • Experienced in kitchens, with at least 1 year in a respectable restaurant

  • Confident with knife skills, prep, and station management

  • Excited by vegetables, grains, fermentation, and flavor layering

  • Willing to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays (we close Thanksgiving and Christmas)

  • Able to lift 50 pounds and stay on your feet during shifts

  • Dependable, focused, and able to stay calm and consistent under pressure
