Line Cook

The Carillon at Belleview Station, one of Denver's premier retirement communities, is seeking a line cook to work in our on-site from scratch kitchens. You will be responsible for prepping and cooking made to order meals for residents and guests. We are looking for someone to be part of a dynamic culinary team and play a critical role in helping us take our culinary program to the next level. This is a full time position, working five days a week 11am to 7:30pm, must have one weekend shift available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food according to the menu under the direction of the Executive Chef
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes
• Communicates frequently and professionally with other line cooks, chef, managers, and front of house team members
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards
• Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated

Qualifications:

• Prior kitchen experience
• Requires knowledge of special diets
• Current ServSafe certification preferred
• Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:

$22.00-23.00 an hour, based on experience
