We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in high volume, from scratch cooking. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring an efficient kitchen operation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development as needed
- Handle food products safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and labeling
- Utilize knife skills for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Support catering events by preparing meals for large groups when required
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
