Position Overview

StandBy Personnel is seeking experienced and motivated Line Cooks for a new restaurant in Seneca, MO. The Line Cook role is ideal for individuals passionate about food, teamwork, and thriving in a fast-paced culinary environment. As a Line Cook, you’ll prepare meals, maintain food quality, and provide an excellent dining experience for guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner across all stations
• Plate and garnish dishes to meet quality standards
• Carve meats and prepare omelets on the buffet line
• Rotate through all kitchen stations and maintain communication with the team
• Deliver a positive guest experience with friendly service
• Follow production sheets and maintain food quality
• Keep work areas clean and organized, including walk-in coolers
• Maintain proper food rotation and par levels
• Handle special requests from chefs and guests
• Wear proper uniform and follow food safety protocols

Job Requirements

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn
• Must be able to pass a background check with no felonies and a pre-employment drug screen
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be dependable and punctual, showing up for all scheduled shifts

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs
• Work in hot/cold environments and maneuver in casino settings
• Must be able to taste, smell, read, write, and speak basic English

Work Environment

• Fast-paced casino kitchen
• Exposure to secondhand smoke, noise, and flashing lights
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Drug- and alcohol-free workplace
