The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is looking for a full-time Line Cook to join our culinary team! A beautiful Historic Hotel of America located in the heart of Portland's Old Port District.
These are year-round, full-time position, approx. 30- 40 hours per week. Weekends/holidays are a must.

Summary: Prepares and cooks all breakfast a la carte and/or lunch (and employee meal), and/or dinner orders as well as banquet functions. Ability to successfully perform all essential functions of two of the four kitchen stations.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
To abide by the safety requirements of the Regency Hotel and this department as outlined in your safety manual and report all accidents to a supervisor immediately.
