Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing and cooking meals according to menu specifications, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for our guests. The Line Cook will work closely with kitchen staff to deliver delicious, well-presented dishes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards


• Assist with menu planning and ingredient preparation for daily service


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols


• Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning


• Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders


• Ensure all dishes are cooked to order and meet quality standards before serving


• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service


• Assist in catering events or special functions as needed


• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food service environment


• Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices


• Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food presentation


• Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus


• Fine dining experience or work in the food industry preferred


• Knowledge of catering, serving, and general kitchen operations beneficial


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail


• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team


• Prior restaurant experience or culinary training is highly desirable
