Position Overview

We are looking for a talented and passionate Line Cook to join the culinary team at the Hilton Garden Inn Polaris. In this role, you will prepare high-quality food items across multiple kitchen stations, ensuring every dish meets our standards for presentation, taste, and consistency. Responsibilities

• Work all kitchen stations including the line, window, broiler, ovens, saute, and pantry


• Complete all prep work for your assigned shift and work duties


• Set up the line with all necessary utensils, tools, and supplies


• Prepare all entrees according to recipe specifications and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency


• Ensure visually appealing presentation with attention to detail and flair


• Maintain food cost control through proper portioning, rotation, and waste reduction


• Label, date, and wrap all food items in accordance with food safety standards


• Clean coolers regularly, rotating, combining, and discarding food as needed to maintain quality


• Clean and sanitize your station at the end of each shift and prepare for the next shift


• Place all dirty utensils, glassware, pots, and pans in the dishwashing area


• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift


• Complete daily cleaning assignments as directed by management

Qualifications

• Prior line cook or kitchen experience required


• Knowledge of culinary procedures, recipe execution, and food safety standards


• Serv-Safe certification preferred


• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and knives


• Knowledge of MICROS system preferred


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment


• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds


• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with extreme heat and varying temperatures
