Position Summary

Upstream Brewing Company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and operational efficiency. A valid ServSafe certification and demonstrated proficiency with standard kitchen equipment are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Shift Preparation: Receive initial shift assignments promptly and ensure all station prep requirements are fully met prior to service.

• Communication & Coordination: Proactively report any inventory or prep constraints to the Prep Chefs or Managing Chef on duty.

• Sanitation & Maintenance: Complete all daily station cleaning duties and assigned periodic deep-cleaning projects in accordance with health and safety standards.

• Operational Execution: Execute menu items according to established recipes and quality specifications while maintaining proper food handling techniques.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in ambient kitchen temperatures exceeding 100°F.

• Capability to stand, move, and work efficiently for shifts lasting up to 10 hours.

• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver kitchen supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Current ServSafe Certification (or equivalent food safety credential).

• Proven experience safely operating and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
