The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food to be served to residents, guests, and staff. They must ensure the quality and consistency of the finished product, adhere to HACCP protocols, sanitation standards, and health regulations. The Line Cook must follow established food production procedures, minimize loss and waste, and have a working knowledge of food products and basic cooking skills.

The Line Cook works in a kitchen environment with various equipment, such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, slicers, coffee machines, steamers, mixers, and chef's knives. They are exposed to heat, steam, fire, and noise. The position requires 100% standing, as well as sitting, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and pushing/pulling carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow instructions are necessary.
