Requirements

The Linehaul Supervisor plays a critical role in managing the efficient and safe movement of parcel freight between distribution centers and hubs. This position oversees drivers, routes, schedules, and compliance, ensuring timely linehaul operations that support overall service performance and cost control. The supervisor works closely with dispatch, maintenance, and terminal staff to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily linehaul operations to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.
• Coordinate with dispatch, managers, and route planners to optimize linehaul schedules and freight flow.
• Ensure accurate trailer loading, seal verification, and proper documentation.
• Address and resolve service issues, delays, and concerns in real time.
• Monitor trailer pools and ensure proper equipment availability at hubs and depots.
• Analyze KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as on-time performance, fuel efficiency, and trailer utilization.
• Use transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS/telematics tools for tracking and reporting.
• Support cost management initiatives by minimizing downtime, detours, and empty miles.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a transportation or parcel delivery environment.
• Experience working with TMS platforms and route optimization tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
