Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Line Lead to oversee our production line operations. The line lead will oversee a team of employees and motivate them to complete their job duties through teamwork and collaboration. The candidate will work directly with the process technicians, quality inspectors, and technicians, manufacturing and quality engineers to ensure that all processes, tools, and equipment are ready for production. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, technical knowledge, and a keen eye for detail.
Requirements
· The Line Lead is a working lead that reports directly to the department supervisor.
· Understanding of safety practices and clean room requirements
· Knowledge of company policies and procedures
· Assign daily tasks to team members.
· Communicate clear instructions to team members.
· Manage the flow of day-to-day operations.
· Train new team members.
· Oversee continuous training and skill development within the team.
· Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining inventory accuracy and accurately reporting production work orders.
· Follow the process of pulling materials from inventory for use in production and returning. remaining materials to inventory upon completion of work orders.
· Report quality issues, assist the team with root cause investigations, and containment of defective products.
· Serve as back-up to the supervisorSupervisor in their absence.
· Directly monitors adherence for breaks, lunches, and covering absentees as needed.
· Understand and perform all requirements of an operator.
· Monitors and reports team performance as necessary to department supervisor.
· Oversee the utilization of all equipment used on the shift.
· Notify process technicians with any defects, or equipment issues.
· Initiate improvements and work with team and supervisor to implement solutions.
· Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process and quality system.
· Control further processing, delivery, or installation of any nonconforming products until the unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
· Control the flow of finished goods and ensure proper labels are used, packaging is correct, routers have all required information, etc.
· Assist in meeting budget requirements.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:?
• 3-5 years of previous medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic Microsoft office applications and software as necessary.
• Ability to lead and direct a team.
• Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately in English.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
• Ability to do repetitive work, requiring strong dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to lead multiple product lines.
• Make labels and ensure proper labels are used.
• Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
