Line Lead - 2nd Shift - Energetic Workplace

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING an experienced 2nd Shift Team Lead in the Avon, Indiana, area!

Pay: $22.00 / hour

Shift: 2nd Shift, 3PM - 12AM, Monday to Friday

(some mandatory OT daily and weekends)

Job Overview: The purpose of the Team Lead position is to oversee the daily operation of one or more warehouse departments.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead assigned personnel on shift.
• Assists in coordinating work activities
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Load/unload trucks, trailers or other conveyances.
• Conduct accuracy/quality audits by verifying product quantity/quality
• Ensure 100% accuracy in Ryder Policies & Procedures.
• Checks, verifies, process, amends, or completes necessary documentation
• Perform computer system input
• Perform and support all job requirements as directed by Supervisor and/or Manager
• Train and cross-train new employees.
• Perform a spot check to determine if employees are absent, informs supervisor of absences.

Experience & Education Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months of related warehouse experience required (1 year experience preferred)
• Warehouse Team / Line Lead experience is REQUIRED

Skills for Success:

• Ability to input data into several WMS computer systems
• Ability to learn to operate powered industrial truck(s), such as: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues)
• May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line)
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift weights may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

Dress Code: Associates must have steel toe boots in order to start.
