The Lineman tasks include, but are not limited too;


Reading plans, interpreting and understanding design work prints. Tracking, documenting all work performed.


Knowledge of the materials/hardware, needed for each task of the project. Ability to lift/carry 80lbs.
Work with clients to plan installations as required.
Ability to climb wooded utility poles safely and perform necessary line work off hooks.
Experienced in Bucket Truck Operation


Drivers License: Class C (required), or Class A (preferred but not necessary)
Experienced in the following tasks: Placing cable/fiber aerial and underground, installing terminals, repairing fiber/cable damage, place conduit in trenches, New Cable Installs, Pole Transfers, Strand Building, Cable Hanging, Lashing, Over Lashing, Wreck Out, Make Readies, and Figure Eighting.
Perform daily duties in a safe manner.
Maintain a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers at all times.
Further industry knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Uphold quality workmanship surpassing industry standards. Constructing aerial Copper and fiber optic communication lines. Duties of job include but are not limited to running and tensioning metallic strand, installing pole hardware, tensioning down guys, lashing copper and fiber optic cable, transferring plant from old poles to new poles, digging and setting telephone poles etc. climbing in and out of manholes, applying ID Tags, ..... Experienced climbers and operators preferred but will train workers that are new to this field.


Telecommunications Lineman is responsible for maintaining safety of the public and crew members at all times in work area and may/will have duties of a foreman. Directing road safety, procedures, confined space safety, and general oversight of projects. Telecommunications lineman is also responsible for maintaining and building overhead and underground infrastructure with fiber optic and copper cable. This person will be accountable for daily job hazard assessments, DOT inspections, material check in/out, record keeping, and quality of work.



Compensation: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
