BT-119 – Linux/VMWare Systems Administrator
Location: Niskayuna, NY or West Mifflin, PA (fully on-site, no remote option)

• Reviewing artifacts such as container scans, updated version and port information, and any Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance changes.
• Execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for standard support of the “Software Factory” provided by the Buyer.
• Utilize knowledge of Linux OS and command line to review and provide information to Buyer leads and “software factory” Supplier.
• Utilize knowledge of virtualization and VMWare’s administration interface to support the “Software Factory” provided by the Buyer.
• Perform regular log, storage, and other operations and compliance activities directed by the Buyer.
• Additional, routine IT tasks of varying complexity may be assigned at Buyer discretion.
• System outages (i.e., complete system failure and significant and/or moderate degradations that inhibit business processes).
• Security and/or Cybersecurity incident response activities as directed.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience
• Associates Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field and six (6) years experience
• High School Degree and ten (10) years experience, or Similar education / work experience via Buyer approval.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience, five (5) years preferred.
• VMWare experience, five (5) years preferred.
