As the Liquor Store Clerk, you will be an essential part of our liquor store operations, ensuring that our customers have a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. In this role, you will assist customers with selecting and purchasing our exclusive line of distilled products and merchandise, operate the point-of-sale system, and maintain a clean and organized store environment. This is a hybrid role and the Liquor Store Clerk may be asked to work as a host, expo and runner. 

General Responsibilities - Liquor Store Clerk

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them select products and answering questions about our distillery’s offerings.
• Observes customers, checks identification for proof-of-age and denies service to underage or intoxicated customers
• Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures
• Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain proper inventory levels
• Keep the store clean and organized, performing regular cleaning and maintaining a welcoming environment
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient store operations 

General Responsibilities - Expo

• Communicate orders and information between the front and back of the house
• Make sure the food is cooked in the right order and quickly
• Ensure the food is presented to the customer as beautifully as possible

General Responsibilities – Runner

• Deliver food and drinks to customers in a timely manner
• Check orders for accuracy
• Take additional orders when required
• Helps expedite orders

General Responsibilities – Host

• Greet customers at the door 
• Seat guests and communicate who their server will be
• Provide menus to guests and clean them afterward
• Acknowledge guests upon their exi

Requirements

Job Qualifications

Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 

• Previous cash handling experience preferred
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Excellent oral communication skills are required.
• Positive interpersonal skills are required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.

License/Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
• ServSafe alcohol certification (or equivalent)
• Idaho State Police Alcohol Awareness Training

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to speak and hear.
• Close and distance vision.
• Frequent standing for the duration of the shift.
• Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
• Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
• Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
