Job Summary
The LIS Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, staffing and overseeing all
activities of the Laboratory Information System and compliance software. This includes working with
Corporate with any LIS problems, documentation, upgrades, and downtimes when necessary. In
conjunction to other LIS duties, the LIS Specialist will review for accuracy, oversee upgrades, and
modifications to the Laboratory chargemaster and related billing systems within the Laboratory. The LIS
Specialist will monitor patient charges and reference invoices for accuracy, modifications and proper billing.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science required
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
MLS through ASCP, AMT, or AAB within 6 months of hire
