Litigation Attorney

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Location: This is a full-time hybrid opportunity based in Bastrop, Texas, offering flexibility while keeping you connected to the legal team and clients.

Note: An active Texas Bar license in good standing is required. Candidates must have 5+ years of directly relevant litigation experience and be able to independently handle substantive litigation responsibilities.

Job Description

• Handle litigation matters involving business, property, contract, and related disputes.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Develop case strategies and work closely with Partners on complex and high-value matters.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and other litigation-related matters.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and litigation activity from inception through resolution.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other involved parties.
• Monitor developments in Texas law, including the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code.
• Maintain approximately 7 billable hours per day.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license and current good standing required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality litigation documents.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
• Experience with business and/or property litigation strongly preferred.
