Location: Chicago, IL. This position begins with an in-office onboarding period for the first 90 days. After onboarding, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office, offering a strong balance of collaboration and flexibility.
Note: Candidates must have 3+ years of experience working as a litigation paralegal and be comfortable managing court filings, litigation documents, case deadlines, discovery, and multiple active matters. Employment law experience is a plus, but it is not required.

Job Description
- E-file pleadings and other documents with state and federal courts.
- Draft demand letters, complaints, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
- Assist with administrative agency charges and responses, including matters involving the EEOC and similar agencies.
- Review, organize, and index discovery materials.
- Manage multiple client matters, case activity, deadlines, and file documentation with limited supervision.
- Calculate litigation deadlines and maintain accurate calendars within case management systems.
- Conduct occasional legal research and assist attorneys with case preparation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, co-counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain timely billing entries and support an average billing expectation of approximately 25 hours per week.
- Participate actively in team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions to litigation challenges.
- Assist with training and supporting new team members as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required.
- Strong litigation drafting, e-filing, calendaring, discovery, and case management skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, organization, communication, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple time-sensitive matters while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, case management systems, and electronic court filing platforms.
- Strong written communication, research, and analytical skills.
- Employment law experience preferred.
- Experience with EEOC or similar administrative agency matters preferred.
- Paralegal certification preferred.
- Supervisory, training, or mentoring experience strongly preferred.
