Central Woodwork, Nashville is growing. We are looking for a responsible truck loader to work our 10AM-6:30PM shift loading millwork material at our facility. Material consists of windows, interior/exterior doors, mouldings, and other building supplies. This position reports to our Loading Supervisor.
Requirements
- The required shift is 10AM-6:30PM, all loaders leave when the job is complete.
- Overtime is required if orders not complete and loaded by the end of the shift. Some Saturday work is required
- Must be on time and prompt for working assignments
- Must wear area specific PPE (safety glasses) and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Must be a team player and flexible in work assignments
- Must be able to read/write
- Must be able to use a tape measure
- Millwork experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- The loader picks and audits orders by working from order sheets to build loads for transport, bulk and/or route trucks
- Must learn the functions of each department, as this position often works throughout the warehouse to gather the product
- Document what is being loaded for delivery
- Must work as a team to accomplish task in a timely manner
- Maintain quality control standards by checking items as loading
Skills
- Required to lift and load up to 75 + pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to bend and reach overhead
- Must be able to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and providing material quickly
- Strive to increase knowledge of the product and the millwork business
