Job summary

This position is responsible for loading and shipping ISO tank trucks, unloading incoming ISO tank trucks onto chassis or taken off the chassis. Perform inspections of chassis inbound/outbound as well as ISO tanks at the same time. Must be able to perform multiple tasks at once due to this. Must be able to learn or operate a yard truck (non-CDL). Must be open to getting trained in multiple areas of the operation and perform in outside working conditions for 6-8 hours a day.

Summary of essential job functions

Apply and process red tag Identification Tags for outbound/inbound chassis that have possible issues wrong with them. 

Perform trailer inspections to determine cleanliness, damage and roadworthiness. 

Fully comply with all contamination control procedures 

Follow all steps identified to reduce the loss of products, preventing spills and handling disposal procedures if required.

Operate the yard truck at any time of the day to hook up to empty chassis and pull them around the yard. 

Maintain practical knowledge of steps and inspection requirements necessary to perform a clean, dry and odor free dry bulk container tank wash. 

Properly use trailer document holders. 

General knowledge of the methodology and terminology used in the industry to understand the types of products and their handling properties. 

Complete ISO tank/chassis inventory yard checks when necessary. 

Ensure all paperwork associated with the position is complete and accurate.  

Must be proficient in communication and use the radio to communicate with the office personnel at any time during the day while performing tasks.

Assist truck drivers with locking/unlocking pins on the ISO tank chassis as they come into the yard.

Assist the shop personnel with anything they might need in terms of trash and clean up.
