We are hiring a Loader Operator for our Texas Aggregates team. If you have mechanical aptitude, related industry experience, and a willingness to learn and grow, we want to hear from you!
You will safely operate front-end loaders at our aggregate operations, ensuring accurate loading of customer and raw materials while monitoring product quality. This role includes performing routine equipment maintenance, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering strictly to MSHA and company safety policies. Your attention to detail and safety focus will help support efficient and hazard-free operations.
What you will be doing
Monitor finished product piles for oversized material and contamination
Load customer trucks accurately with correct materials and quantities
Operate equipment to load raw material from the pit into the hopper at targeted production rates
Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, daily inspections, fueling, and greasing equipment
Assist with additional maintenance duties as needed
Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, including yard upkeep and housekeeping
Follow all MSHA and company safety policies rigorously
Identify and report safety hazards, championing a safety-first culture; actively participate in safety meetings
Perform other duties as assigned
What we would like from you
Basic mechanical aptitude and strong math skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in small teams
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed
Related industry experience is a plus
Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment is preferred
High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
Location and other key details:
This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Bridgeport site
This is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check
Position involves working 12-hour shifts with weekend hours as necessary
Travel to various job sites as needed
Regular outdoor work with exposure to a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
Frequent sitting and use of fine motor skills such as manual dexterity, hand / eye coordination, and active hearing and vision
Occasional standing, walking, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and pushing or pulling as needed
Regular exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smoke, gases, fumes, and aggregate materials
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, vests, and glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats, with additional PPE for tasks like welding or repairs
