Job Summary: The Loading Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily activities of the loading personnel. This position ensures safe and efficient loading practices, manages delivery schedules, and coordinates with Plant Managers to achieve manufacturing and shipping objectives. The Loading Supervisor also maintains accurate records in the company’s ERP system, schedules carriers, controls labor costs, and resolves any issues related to shipped orders.

*Must be able to commute to our facility located at 125 Pequanoc Dr, Tallapoosa, GA 30176

Key Responsibilities:

· Hire, train, and supervise the loading team, ensuring compliance with safety practices and company standards.

· Oversee the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of loading personnel to ensure timely and efficient operations.

· Set up delivery schedules and communicate effectively with Sales, Manufacturing, and relevant teams.

· Coordinate loading activities with Plant Managers to meet manufacturing goals in a cost-effective and timely manner.

· Schedule carriers (company drivers/common carriers) for delivery of loads, providing accurate pickup times.

· Maintain accurate and up to day information within the company’s ERP system

· Monitor and minimize labor overtime and premium freight costs.

· Promptly address and resolve any issues related to shipped orders.

Requirements

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· 3 to 5 years experience in a manufacturing shipping environment.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

· Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with MS Office.

· Familiarity with common carriers and delivery logistics.

· Adequate knowledge of shipping processes and basic understanding of freight rates.

· Proven time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
