Loan Officer

General Summary of the position

Assures that credit arrangements are appropriate according to our loan policy, Analyze loan requests by reviewing credit data, including but not limited to, financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, historical operating performance, collateral valuations, economic conditions, etc to determine repayment ability and establish credit limits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform a thorough analysis of varying types of loans and risks in commercial, agricultural, real estate and consumer loans.
• Analyze the data used to create the loan presentation to the extent that a credit decision can be recommended to the loan committee.
• Ensure that all necessary documents are completed correctly to secure our interests.
• Business development which will consist of maintaining positive relationships with our current customers and fostering relationships, networking and community involvement in an effort to obtain new customers.

Job Requirements

• Ag background or wide knowledge base of the Ag industry
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.
• Strong accounting skills and strong analytical skills including credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, market conditions and repayment ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Some Compliance knowledge as associated to lending
