Loan Officer

In the role of a full-time Loan officer, you will be responsible for assisting members in reaching their financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Gather personal  and  financial  data  from  applicants  as  it  pertains  to  each  loan  application
  


• Calculate debt-to-income  ratios,  percentage  of  unsecured  debt  and  collateral  value  as  it  pertains  to each  application


• Verify accuracy  of  loan  application  data,  including  verification  of  income,  job  time,  references,  and value  of  collateral


• Communicate with  members  in  regard  to  loan  products,  policies,  and  requirements
  


• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required


• A minimum of six months loan processing experience required


• Excellent interpersonal and member service skills


• Previous bank or credit union experience required
  


• Underwriting experience preferred


• Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving capabilities


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Proficient in MIcrosoft Word and Excel


• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment 

This job operates in an office environment in which pace and noise level varies depending on member traffic. 

Physical Demands 

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time. 

• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. 

• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 

• Ability to communicate with others to exchange information. 

• Ability to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
