Loan Portfolio Manager I
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The teammate is responsible for all consumer credit-related functions performed within multiple Private Banker portfolios, as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Assist assigned Private Bankers with structuring/underwriting all consumer loans including but not limited to home equity loans (interest only and term), loans secured by marketable securities, auto loans, recreational vehicle loans, consumer credit cards, and unsecured loans
Perform data entry for all consumer DecisionPro application documents
Draft other credit approval documents which analyze the financial condition of the borrower
Analyze the financial information and cash flow of existing and potential borrowing clients for purposes of approving or denying consumer loan requests through DecisionPro or other credit-related consumer approval documents
Communicate with assigned Private Bankers and/or clients to obtain necessary information regarding the borrower
Manage all necessary consumer/commercial loan documentation, including initiating and tracking the process of pulling credit reports, flood certificates, appraisals and title work as needed
Act as a liaison for communications between Loan Documentation and Residential Mortgage for the purpose of advancing loan closings for all assigned Private Bankers
Work with appropriate CSM/Banker to manage all collateral exception reports and financial reporting exceptions on a timely basis
Assist assigned Private Bankers in managing pipelines for all consumer/ commercial loan activity, including tracking home equity maturities and generating maturing loan letters at appropriate time intervals
Under the direction of managers, proactively pursue training opportunities to expand credit skills
Maintain appropriate knowledge and fulfill training as required under the SAFE Act/NMLSR
Comply with all banking regulations and our own Bank policies and objectives, citing exceptions as appropriate
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or banking, or equivalent combination of education and experience; accounting and/or finance coursework strongly preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in consumer/commercial credit analysis and/or consumer lending required; addition retail banking experience preferred
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple tasks, organizing and prioritizing tasks as appropriate; ability to work independently and meet deadlines
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to interpret, analyze data and problem
Ability to organize and prioritize
Proven interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with strong emphasis placed on responsiveness
High degree of professionalism and eagerness to excel
Experience with and good working knowledge of standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and work styles
